Regional Security Manager – BIP Security Ltd
BIP Security is currently recruiting a Regional Security Manager to co-ordinate, direct and support activities within the business units for Security. This high profile position requires management, review, implementation and development of the Security Management System in alignment with corporate, local and legislative requirements.
Having operated at a senior level, you will be a successful, confident manager with exceptional interpersonal skills. A structured working approach with the ability to manage a variety of situations with maturity and consideration is essential.
Responsibilities include
Establishing the Security policies and procedures for the business in order to maintain operating standards and ensuring legal and corporate compliance
Supporting and advising all levels of the business, ensuring that the dissemination of information is appropriate, factual and timely to support a positive and active decision making process.
Ensuring appropriate levels of advice, guidance and training is given to the security team and delivering best practice
Supporting unit activities and facilitating a best practice approach to problem solving and improvement initiatives
Managing internal security investigations and audits for the region providing reports and recommendations as appropriate. Auditing of units for compliance against management systems for security and follow up for non-compliance
Conducting investigations into cases of theft and breaches of security
Ensuring the business is up to date with threat assessments and counter terrorism measures related to the aviation industry
Liaising & developing contacts with local law enforcement & government agencies, 3rd parties and customers on security matters
Auditing business units to ensure that management systems for Security are adhered to
Analysis of data to form reports in a coherent and understandable form
Be able to present to all levels of organizations and carry out training.
Previous experience
With a sound understanding of legislation relating to security you will have previous experience in a security management role, and/or police or military environment involving counter terrorism management and theft.
A security qualification would be advantageous or relevant training in security aspects with a minimum in Level 5 training.
Based in Kumasi, the individual will also be required to travel throughout the GHANA and Regionals.
The individual must have multi-site experience and the ability to manage and influence remote operations.
The individual must be able to travel at short notice and be able to stay away from home for periods of time. They must also possess a valid driving licence.
Excellent report writing and presentation skills are essential.
