Summary:
The Security Operations Manager is responsible for the operational management of Security Services staff and equipment at the BIP Security Ltd. You will be responsible for the operational delivery of a customer focused 24/7 security service across both the Public and Residences locations with the aim of providing and maintaining high service standards which are both effective and efficient.
In conjunction with the Security Manager, the role is responsible for the implementation of the BIP Security Policy and for liaising with internal departments concerning security issues. In implementing the Security Policy, the Security Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring systems are in place to monitor security standards and instigate improvements to systems and working methods as appropriate.
The post is required to ensure correct procedures for the recording, investigation and reporting of all incidents, accidents, alarm activations and damage to clients property are followed through and that any action and improvements are implemented. You will be responsible for the control of all security systems and equipment, including keys, CCTV, incident recording system, intruder and fire alarms and radios and is to maintain appropriate records in line with current legislation.
This role will be part of an on-call rota arrangement in case of major incident at the out of hours. The post holder will be responsible in the short term for co-ordinating the BIP response to a major incident ensuring the Incident Management Plan is followed and maintaining lines of communication with the BIP Security Control Room, departments and other involved agencies.
As an Operations Manager working with BIP Security, you will be responsible for achieving Key Performance Indicators through effective service delivery in your defined area of responsibility.
Your duties will include:
• To ensure that all site survey & risk assessments are carried out on the assignments before any Security Officers commence their duties.
• To make sure that Assignment Instructions are agreed with customers and that any temporary amendments to the contract are received in writing from the customer.
• To carry out interviews of personnel applying for Security Officer Positions and recruiting suitable personnel as and when required. Make sure the details recorded on the Application Form are checked to verify the applicant can be screened to BS 7858.
• To ensure that the discipline procedures defined within the Contract of Employment are implemented and maintained.
• Investigate customer complaints and record results. Where necessary liaise with the customer, making them aware of the progress and actions being taken.
• Train Security Officers for new assignments.
• Be responsible for the first line managers who work during non-business hours.
• You will report to the Company Director/CEO.
